Metal Eden Demo Reveals Unreleased Weapons, Enemy Types, and more

By Shaun Weber – Verified Gaming | Exclusive Report

The upcoming sci-fi shooter Metal Eden, slated to release in Q3 2025, dropped a demo on Steam — and there’s a lot more hidden inside than players were meant to find.

Using some advanced exploration methods (which I won’t be revealing here), I managed to access several hidden developer test maps built into the demo. What I uncovered includes unreleased weapons, enemy types, and gameplay systems that clearly point to what’s coming in the full game.

Unreleased Weapons Revealed

Within one of the dev maps, I found a full lineup of weapons not currently available through regular gameplay. All of them seem to be fully functional and destined for the full release:

  • Zenit (SMG) – Fast-firing and built for close quarters
  • TAS-9 (Shotgun) – Hard-hitting and deadly up close
  • EZN-5 (Plasma Rifle) – Medium-range energy weapon
  • U9 Supra (Pistol) – Reliable sidearm with a sleek design
  • RM3 (Grenade Launcher) – Explosive weapon for area damage
  • Striga HS-V (Lightning Gun) – Fires electric blasts, possibly with status effects
  • Unnamed Powerup Weapon – A powerful plasma-style minigun with limited use, seemingly only available as a pickup. No official name found in the game files yet.

Full Enemy Roster Uncovered

While exploring, I also triggered spawns for all enemy types currently included in the build. Here’s a broad overview of the enemy archetypes:

  • Melee enemies that aggressively close distance
  • Ranged attackers firing energy-based projectiles
  • Mech-like enemies with heavy armor and slow movement
  • Flying drones that attack from vertical angles

Developer Test Levels & Gameplay Systems

The dev maps were clearly intended for internal testing and include early versions of key systems. Here’s what I found actively working in these environments:

  • Movement and sprinting mechanics
  • Door logic and interaction zones
  • Jump pad traversal and verticality systems
  • Pickup detection and weapon switching
  • Level transitions and combat scripting

These stripped-down areas offer a rare, behind-the-scenes look at how the game’s core systems are being built and iterated on before final implementation.

Final Thoughts

Metal Eden‘s demo may only offer a brief glimpse on the surface — but under the hood, it’s already stacked with weapons, enemies, and mechanics that show major promise for the full release.

Whether these files stay accessible or get scrubbed in a future update, this content provides a rare look at what’s ahead. For those interested in raw, unfiltered development details — this is it.
